September Programming Workshop
We were invited back by San Jacinto College to present a beginning programming workshop during their annual September FTC workshop sessions.
Andrew presented while the other two team members present (plus two mentors!) stood available to help with any difficulties. During the class we covered setting up the phones, creating config files, the electronics used in FTC, and finally creating and running an OpMode.
We had about fifty people attend which was really cool. Despite some communications hiccups that resulted in some of the students not bringing their computers or phones, we were able to run everyone through making a config file on our test phones and a lot of students were also able to get their robot running.
We had a lot of fun helping other teams learn programming and we received very good feedback on the class which is encouraging.
